He grew up in Utah, where he developed a deep love for rugged landscapes and the outdoors. He was introduced to hunting by his father during a youth chukar hunt at age 11, he quickly found his passion for hunting.
Over the years, that early spark grew into a lifelong commitment to hunting, conservation, and wildlife stewardship.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Wildland Conservation from Brigham Young University and went on to work as a Wildlife Biologist in Eastern Oregon. Collin lives in Burns, Oregon, with his wife Hanna and their two-year-old daughter Lila.
After several highly successful hunting seasons, Collin was inspired to help others experience the thrill and fulfillment of the hunt. In the spring of 2025, he launched Twisted Forest Hunting, a service built to offer affordable, high-quality bird hunting adventures in some of the nation's premier upland and waterfowl habitats.
Twisted Forest exists to offer epic bird hunts rooted in conservation, local know-how, and a love for wild Oregon.
